Resource Coordinator - Offshore Heavy Lifting

How you can make your mark

In the role of Resource Coordinator, you are the connecting factor and internally seen as the person who brings everyone together. Together with the Manager Project Engineering, you ensure optimal staffing of the projects and tenders by the Project Engineering department of Boskalis Offshore Heavy Lift. In addition to ensuring staffing, you are also responsible for ensuring that the people we hire are well guided, trained, and evaluated.

Together with the Manager Project Engineering, you will elevate processes, working methods, and thus the department to a higher quality level. You will do this by leveraging your analytical character in combination with your connecting personality and good people skills.

Of course, the administration involved in Resource management is also your responsibility, from contracts with agencies and contingent workers and accurately recording worked hours to approving expense claims.

To be successful as a Resource Coordinator, you must master the 'game' of supply and demand, have an eye for different interests, and derive energy from improving cooperation within and between departments. Being able to quickly adapt and having a curious mindset is also important to efficiently bring supply and demand together. Your responsibilities also include coordinating collective courses and certifications at the department level, such as VCA and GWO.

Your responsibilities as a Resource Coordinator at Boskalis Offshore Heavy Lifting

• Ensuring compliance with (inter)national law and legislation and company's policies and procedures for the deployment of employees: visa, training certificates etc.
• Monitoring quality and quantity of employees in pool and take necessary actions in case of deviations, this includes the screening process, interviews, hiring, onboarding and performance management of (contingent) workers
• Ensuring timely inflow of (contingent) employees by involving agencies to find the right balance between supply and demand
• Contributing to the improvement of deployment and department processes and procedures in alignment with manager project engineering
• Administrative support regarding controlling of time sheets and expense reports and scrutinizing invoices to allow in time payments
• Support of the overall department resource forecast process

You can make your mark as a Resource Coordinator if you have

• At least 2 - 5 years relevant experience in an international deployment environment
• As a minimum a secondary vocational education
• Experience in resource management
• Preferably experience in continuous improvement of department processes, systems and way of working
• A good command of written and spoken English;

Extra information

• Your team: You will work as a Resource Coordinator in the business unit Offshore Heavy Lifting. The Engineering team consists of approx. 50 professionals. Initially you will focus on a group of approximately 15 people.
• Where you will work: You will be working at the Boskalis Campus Papendrecht.
• Full/part-time job: The position of Resource Coordinator is a role for 32 hours, 40 hours is an option.
