The Financial Controller plays a crucial role in ensuring Global Sox & local statutory compliance for the Protolabs Network entities in the Netherlands, US & our branches in Germany & France. On top of this this person will be responsible to optimize and improve our day-to-day controls & compliance activities for accurate monthly/quarterly reporting. This role involves working closely with our external auditors and Global Finance teams to optimize our financial processes to remain compliant and ensure accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders.

\nWhat you'll do:
  • Perform month/quarter/year-end closing processes for all global entities/branches in a timely and accurate manner
  • Prepare annual financial statements and assist the external auditors in the statutory audit, including coordinating the implementation of audit recommendations
  • Support the further system & process alignment between the Protolabs Network & Protolabs
  • Perform Indirect Tax (VAT, Intrastat & US Sales Tax) and CIT reporting and be responsible for VAT compliance questions
  • Continuous focus to optimize Administrative Organization & Internal controls (AO/IC)
  • Responsible for monthly accurate Revenue recognition
  • Perform Ad-Hoc and specific analyses and reporting
  • Support with FP&ACRSD compliance
What it takes:
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in finance or Accounting with approx 3 years of audit-accounting experience preferably within a leading accounting firm
  • Positive, energetic, self-motivated individual with a ‘can-do mentality’ and pragmatic approach
  • A true Team player
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented

Advantageous;

  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbal as well as in writing
  • Knowledge of Dutch GAAP & SOX
