We’re seeking for a talented IT Delivery Manager in the DPG Media IT organization to lead the B2C Marketing Products & Touchpoints Area which is part of the B2C& Business Services cluster within IT.

On a daily basis, our content impacts millions of readers, making DPG Media the biggest media company of the Benelux. Our success is powered by our passionate community, journalists and over 900 IT colleagues.

What you'll be doing
As IT Delivery Manager you'll hold ultimate responsibility for the B2C Marketing Products & Touchpoints Area. Leading the team as both a people and resource manager, you'll oversee the delivery of product value within budgetary constraints, ensuring the highest quality output in the shortest possible time. You’ll manage the area's budget and enhance existing Agile structures. Organizing the area around business value, fostering customer focus, and collaborating with stakeholders to align business and IT perspectives will be central to your role. Additionally, you'll oversee supplier and partner relationships in close coordination with procurement.

As our internal teams grow and stabilize, your role as a people manager becomes increasingly vital. Supported by dedicated Scrum Masters, you'll be responsible for forming high-performing teams through recruitment, development, retention, and necessary transitions. The IT Delivery Manager will drive organizational capability improvements and determine area structure and policies within the enterprise framework.

In close collaboration with the other IT Delivery managers, you drive the operational implementation of DPG Media’s IT strategy for your area. You will help our Product Manager(s) crafting a high-level roadmap that meets the business objectives where the teams will work on. You understand the business challenges and what it takes to turn this into products, such that as a company we can deliver the most value to our customers. Furthermore, you'll guide the technology roadmap for your area in line with Enterprise Architecture and IT guidelines, in collaboration with architects.

Stakeholdermanagement is key as we deliver central components that need to interact with our different digital reading platforms and business tooling. This means that you constantly need to manage the dependencies between the different parties and balance between the different priorities. Alignment between the various business departments involved and IT are a critical component in your success.

Within the B2C & Business Services cluster of our IT organization, the B2C Marketing Products & Touchpoints IT Delivery Manager is responsible for all IT applications needed to run our Publishing Marketing Capabilities for our customers. This for all publishing brands in Belgium and Netherlands.We develop products, capabilities and services for marketing purposes to seduce and convert consumers in the most advantageous experience, through for example marketing positions, paygate, email & app push. These capabilities are used within the broad portfolio of website and apps DPG media has, for example at ad.nl, hln.be, volkskrant.nl, NU.nl, libelle.nl, autoweek.nl.

The area comprises over 20 professionals in roles including software developers, application specialists, architects, product owners, Scrum Masters, and secdevops engineers. Organized into three squads located in Antwerp and Amsterdam, we adopt a hybrid work model. Additionally, we collaborate closely with external technology partners.

To deliver on this, the IT squads are responsible for all applications and tech needed to support the Marketing capabilities in the Publishing space. Most of our applications in this area are custom developed and running in the Cloud (AWS) ,although we also have some off-the-shelf products in our portfolio. Who you areAs IT Delivery Manager, you see the bigger picture and develop the capability of the area to build and run great products. We are looking for a colleague experienced in and passionate about people and high performing teams, business-driven product development and customer alignment with an IT background. And someone who knows how to combine those. Your role will involve enthusiastic storytelling, relationship building and a strong focus on results. Embracing customer centricity, teamwork, and an agile mindset are important since you will work with our cross-functional feature teams in a scaled Agile, Scrum, You build it, You run it (DevOps) environment.Please consider the following:

  • You are business-driven, team-oriented, curious, open-minded and eager to learn.

  • Clear, practical experience with team management & performance, product development, change management and business - IT alignment in larger enterprises.

  • Experience in and affinity with marketing products and if possible in the media industry.

  • Experience in managing large distributed agile teams.

  • We expect a background in business with commercials, media and IT development in digital transformations.

  • You value the importance of qualitative journalism, and are passionate to be part of the creation of the best customer experience.

  • Willingness to travel to various locations from time to time.

  • Although we usually write in English, fluent understanding and speaking in Dutch is required.
