Junior Consultant

On an ongoing basis we are looking for Junior Consultants (0-2 years) and Experienced Consultants (2-6 years) who are ready to help our clients shape and realise their Information and Data vision and ambitions. You will be part of our Consultancy practice, and will be working on one or more projects in small teams in close collaboration with our clients.

How are we organised?

As (junior) consultant you will become part of our consultancy practice, where you will be trained in various methodologies, standards and tools relating to our work. Our products and services are highly specialised, so we typically allow 1-2 months of training and development (also on-the-job) for new joiners to get fully up to speed, and will guide you through your first steps on a project and towards client interactions.

The consultancy practice is a diverse group of professionals, greatly varying in (educational) background, personal drive and nationality, but all with a willingness to help our clients become the best in what they do. The consultancy practice is organised into four distinct yet very complementary capabilities, and we offer you the opportunity to develop yourself in any of these depending on your personal drive, ambition and aptitude:

• Project Delivery - The Project Delivery practice collectively provides the consulting and project management capabilities that are required for the smooth delivery of projects and services. This is also where all junior consultants start their Semmtech journey, after which they choose in which direction to develop.
• Industries - The Industry consultants have a deep understanding of the value chain and ecosystem of their specific industries and clients. They help grow the impact and value we deliver at existing and new clients through business development, account- and relationship management.
• Fields - The Fields support projects and business development with deep expertise, as well as the development of thought leadership within their respective area of expertise (e.g. support product- and service development, speak at conferences, write blogs, define new propositions).
• Research & Innovation - The Research & Innovation team supports the whole company with the development of new innovative ideas, and bringing these to life through internal- and external projects, MVP’s and pilots, ultimately delivering them back to the Fields, Industries and Development for further scaling.

What will you do as a (junior) consultant:

• Analyse systems architecture and data-/information flows
• Advise clients on information models and asset data capabilities
• Implement and configure tooling and dataflows
• Transform / optimise information and data processes
• Provide training on tools and processes
• Project management and stakeholder management
• Research new technologies and develop new business propositions

What skills and qualifications do you have:

• A master’s degree, preferably in Civil Engineering / Technology / Data Science / Business Administration
• Fluent in both Dutch and English
• 0-6 years working experience
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Open and entrepreneurial mindset, willing to help build a scaling business
• Enthusiasm for:

1. New technology & Data science / Data management
2. Systems engineering & low-code applications
3. Tools and processes as a means for value creation

• Preferred, a background in Management consulting / Technology consulting
• Preferred, experience with Project management & Stakeholder management
• Experienced hires will be asked to provide a reference from a former employer.
