Global Risk & Brand Protection safeguards the Deloitte brand across risk, privacy, cyber, regulatory, independence & conflicts, and anti-corruption/financial crimes by providing guidance, facilitation and collaborative oversight across the network.

Key qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years’ experience in independence, risk, quality, or compliance.
• Strong knowledge of auditor independence requirements (SEC, PCAOB, IESBA) and related policies, tools, and quality systems.
• Proven written and verbal English communication skills.

Desirable

• Experience in a global, multi-time-zone environment and/or professional services/public accounting.
• Familiarity with audit platforms, technology tools, and data-driven analysis.
• Proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to drive projects independently.

How do you do this?

Deloitte Global is hiring a Manager for the Global Independence team within Global Risk & Brand Protection — a high-impact role advising on independence matters, driving compliance initiatives, and delivering network-wide projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global policy updates: project-manage the process, draft amendments, and socialize changes.
• Maintain independence tools and templates for PCAOB/ISA engagements and support updates to Omnia and Levvia to embed requirements.
• Advise firms on complex independence questions: analyze fact patterns, provide practical conclusions, and promote consistent application.
• Manage waivers and breach records: document, track, and identify improvements.
• Coordinate cross-border issue resolution with stakeholders to deliver clear, practical outcomes.
• Support strategic projects, deliver technical training, and drive knowledge-sharing to strengthen independence awareness and compliance.
