We are looking to recruit a Community Investment, Fundraising & Strategic Partnerships Advisor for Continental Europe.

About Hogan Lovells

Hogan Lovells is a global law firm with a strong commitment to contributing to the communities in which we operate. Across our offices, colleagues engage with charities, community organisations and social enterprises through community investment, fundraising initiatives and long term partnerships.

The role

This is a Continental European role, anchored in Amsterdam, with responsibility for driving and coordinating community investment, fundraising initiatives and strategic non profit partnerships across Continental Europe.

The role operates across global, regional and local levels and plays a central part in connecting offices, senior leadership and external partners. You will take ownership for creating alignment, structure and momentum across a diverse region, with scope to deepen your impact and responsibility as the role develops.

The position offers a high degree of autonomy, visibility and responsibility within an international professional environment.

Key responsibilities

As Community Investment, Fundraising & Strategic Partnerships Advisor, you will:

  • Take ownership of coordinating and advancing community investment and fundraising initiatives across our 13 offices in Continental Europe
  • Translate global priorities into clear regional plans and frameworks that can be implemented effectively at local level
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with charities, NGOs and social enterprises across the region
  • Work closely with local offices to develop and support initiatives, while ensuring regional coherence and alignment
  • Lead our social impact tracking and reporting at regional level and contribute to it at global level
  • Coordinate and co-manage regional budgets for community investment and fundraising in close collaboration with our finance team
  • Collaborate with internal communications and PR colleagues to increase visibility of community investment and fundraising activities where appropriate
  • Act as a central point of contact for community investment and fundraising matters within Continental Europe

You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the firm and collaborate regularly with global colleagues.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a candidate with the experience, judgment and organisational strength to operate effectively in a complex, cross border setting, combined with a pragmatic, hands-on approach and a clear affinity with building and managing partnerships.

Experience

  • Relevant professional experience in community investment, fundraising, partnerships or a related field
  • Experience working across multiple countries or regions
  • Experience collaborating with non profit organisations and managing long term partnerships
  • A strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience in building and managing strategic partnerships
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders in a professional services or comparable environment
  • Experience in impact tracking and reporting is a plus

Skills

  • Strong ability to coordinate, prioritise and structure multiple initiatives running in parallel
  • Ability to create clarity and alignment across diverse activities, interests and stakeholders
  • Sound judgment and tact when working across different offices and cultures
  • Strong self management skills, with the ability to operate across geographies and organisational levels
  • Excellent communication skills and full professional fluency in English (additional European languages are a plus)

This role suits someone who enjoys working across boundaries, takes ownership, and brings structure and coherence to complex environments.

Location and working pattern

This role will be based in Amsterdam and anchored in the Amsterdam office, which plays a critical role in coordinating our Continental Europe Responsible Business activities.

You will work closely with colleagues across the region and globally, serving as part of the Continental Europe Responsible Business team and the Global Community Investment team.

Regular physical presence in the Amsterdam office is expected (approximately 80% of the time).

Practical requirements

  • You must already be based in the Netherlands
  • You must have the legal right to work in the Netherlands (no visa sponsorship available)
  • You must be able to work regularly from our Amsterdam office

What we offer

  • A cross regional role with significant autonomy and scope
  • Exposure to senior stakeholders across Continental Europe and globally
  • The opportunity to shape and coordinate community investment and fundraising initiatives at regional level
  • A collaborative and international working environment within a leading global law firm
  • The opportunity to be part of an Amsterdam office of approximately 150 colleagues, with regular social activities

There's no substitute for lived experience. We value fresh perspectives; if you are looking for your next career move, we offer an exceptional platform from which to build skills for now and the future.

We have a unique culture that is both ambitious and supportive. You will be stretched and encouraged to grow as a professional, while at the same time, thriving as part of an inclusive and collaborative team.
