Product Architect OutSystems

Are you a visionary architect who brings structure and clarity to fast-growing platforms? As Product Architect OutSystems, working at our Boels headquarters in Sittard, you define the direction of our OutSystems platform as it continues to grow and mature. You shape a clear architectural vision, strengthen governance, and build a future-proof roadmap including the adoption of OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC). This is not a hands-on development role; your focus is on platform direction, architecture, and governance.

We are centralizing IT operations and strengthening our platform capabilities. OutSystems plays a key role in this strategy, supporting user-facing applications and rapid delivery across multiple product teams.

In the role of Product Architect OutSystems you will:

• Define and own the architectural vision for the OutSystems platform, including legacy environments, current usage, and the transition towards ODC (OutSystems Developer Cloud);
• Shape a future-state architecture and roadmap for OutSystems in our organization;
• Set and enforce architecture principles, coding standards, and governance for OutSystems development;
• Guide and coach developers in the OutSystems Platform Team and the wider community of OutSystems developers in product teams;
• Act as architectural authority for platform decisions, while working closely with Product Owners and other architects;
• Ensure OutSystems is used intentionally when it is the right platform and when other platforms (e.g. MuleSoft, Azure) are a better fit;
• Maintain close contact with the OutSystems vendor and stay current on platform capabilities and roadmap.

What do you bring

• 3-7 years of experience in architecture roles, preferably with OutSystems or other low code platforms.
• Deep understanding of OutSystems architecture, application lifecycles, and governance.
• Experience with legacy modernization, platform rationalization, and large application landscapes.
• Ability to operate across teams, vendors, and architectural disciplines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
