In this role as Power System Insulation Coordination Strategist, you will contribute to that mission.

Jouw rol

As Power System Insulation Coordination Strategist you contribute to strengthening and renewing the Dutch electricity transmission system, so that the Netherlands can continue to count on reliable and renewable energy.

You will work in the Power Quality, EMC and EMT team within the System Integrity department, consisting of 12 colleagues. Together you work on ensuring that insulation coordination in the power system stays under control, an essential task for a stable and renewable energy system. Within our team there is an open and collaborative atmosphere, where innovation and cooperation are key.

• You are responsible for conducting and supervising insulation coordination studies to evaluate the system technical performance due to grid changes, for example the introduction of long cable connections or the transition from meshed to radial operation in our high-voltage networks, and identifying effective mitigation options.
• You support power quality studies relevant to the evaluation of amplification of background harmonic voltages, harmonic propagation and rapid voltage changes.
• You are responsible for reviewing insulation coordination studies as part of the compliance verification process and for developing and maintaining internal policies relevant to insulation coordination.
• You act as the contact point between System Integrity and Asset Technology on relevant topics.

Jouw profiel & achtergrond

At TenneT we are looking for professionals who contribute to our future electricity transmission system. We expect you to have the right experience and skills to make a valuable contribution to our team and our mission.

What do you offer?

• A completed Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field;
• Deep knowledge of insulation coordination and power quality and their application in power systems;
• Good understanding of power system planning;
• Experience with PSCAD and DIgSILENT PowerFactory is a must;
• Experience with EMTP-ATP or EMTP-RV is an advantage;
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the power systems sector;
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Dutch is an advantage.
