Als Senior Relationship Manager Financial Institutions Group (FIG) ben je verantwoordelijk voor het prospecteren, opbouwen en uitbreiden van duurzame, hoogwaardige klantrelaties met Financial Institutions in Europa. Zo realiseer je tastbare groei in lijn met Rabobank’s Europese FI-strategie.

You & your role

As Senior Relationship Manager Financial Institutions, you are responsible for managing and growing client relationships with Financial Institutions across Europe. You are the primary point of contact for these FI clients, covering all aspects of the relationship, including commercial topics, credit processes, and compliance reviews.

You align with other stakeholders including multiple product groups and internal departments such as Legal, Risk and Compliance, to coordinate the overall relationship with these strategically important clients. This will enable you to deliver a broad product offering and drive business development and growth within the key FI sectors.

The Senior Relationship Manager is product agnostic and has a helicopter view. In this capacity, you can also challenge the product teams to safeguard the client goals. You support other teams and departments with sector know-how.

  • Strengthen Rabobank’s positioning within key FI sectors in Europe.
  • Develop and grow the FI business with a portfolio of European Financial Institution clients, and prospect new clients.

Top 3 responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end client relationships with Financial Institutions in Europe, covering commercial topics, credit processes and compliance reviews in close cooperation with internal stakeholders.
  • Drive business development by prospecting and identifying client needs, and coordinate product teams to deliver tailored, cross-product solutions across Rabobank.
  • Lead the internal coordination for Financial Institution clients, ensuring effective collaboration with Risk, Legal, Compliance and product departments.

You will be a senior contributor within the Relationship Management team of the Financial Institutions Group, acting as a key driver for European expansion. You will be reporting directly to the Global Head Financial Institutions Group.

The 13 people of the Financial Institutions Relationship Management team focus on managing and developing strategic Financial Institution client relationships. Collaboration is our way of working; as one confident and result-oriented team within Rabobank.

You & your talent

  • HBO or WO degree in combination with at least 10 years experience, and strong knowledge of Financial Institutions is essential.
  • You have an existing European network of FI clients.
  • Proven experience in managing complex client relationships.
  • Understanding of credit processes and compliance requirements such as KYC and CDD are a plus.
  • Demonstrable experience in business development within wholesale or financial markets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across multiple departments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to operate at senior management level.
  • Proactive, result-driven and able to work independently.
  • German language skills are a strong plus.
  • To be considered for this position, you need to be currently living and allowed to work in The Netherlands.
