Intern Brand Design

This role is part of our Holding team based in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. As part of our team, you'll be immersed in a diverse environment, collaborating with experts in Sales Operations, Finance, Hospitality, Recruitment, People, and Marketing. We're the backbone of DEPT®, ensuring seamless operations and empowering Depsters to reach new heights.

Job purpose

Are you looking for a creative internship where you can support our brand design with clever designs wrapped in a pretty bow? Then this vacancy was designed for you.

As the Design intern in the marketing team, you work hard on the visual representation and growth of the DEPT® brand. Your creations can shine in both digital and print context, and you are quick to think outside the box with your design ideas (but within the brand guidelines ;)). You don’t shy away from design programs like Figma, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Keynote. Don’t worry if you’re not experienced with all of them; as long as you’re eager to learn, we’ll make sure to get you up to speed!

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to brand consistency, by ensuring that all designs align with DEPT®’s brand guidelines and visual identity across all touchpoints.
• Assist in the development of creative concepts and designs for the DEPT® website, newsletter, events, social media, and our internal communication.
• Help maintain and update design templates: manage and update Figma or Adobe templates used by the global marketing team to streamline production.
• Participate in creative reviews and feedback sessions: present work, receive feedback, and contribute ideas in collaborative sessions with the wider design and marketing team.
• Stay up to date on design trends: research and share insights on current design trends, AI tools, and techniques relevant to branding and digital design.

You will work closely together with the marketing design team, and you will get the opportunity to explore your interests and talents. Of course, we’ll be there to guide you along the way!

Please note: to be eligible for this internship, you are required to be living and studying in the Netherlands.

What we are looking for

• Have an affinity with graphic design, social media and digital campaigns;
• Are a student in a programme focused on Design, but also including or combining a direction such as Communications or Commercial Economics;
• Have a creative mindset and can also be very critical;
• Have great communication skills, and speak fluent English;
• Like to work with deadlines and can keep up using your great organizational skills;
• Are available full-time from September 2025 for 5-6 months.
• Can come into the office (Rotterdam or Amsterdam) at least 2 days a week.
