Senior Portfolio Manager | Asset Management | Real Estate

APG Real Estate is looking for a Senior Portfolio Manager Real Estate to contribute to the management and further development of its institutional real estate portfolios. The Real Estate portfolio exceeds EUR 50 billion and spans listed and private investments, funds, joint ventures and partnerships worldwide. As this position is firmly rooted in our Amsterdam operations, we are looking for someone who is prepared to commit to living and working in the Amsterdam area on a long-term basis. This is essential for effective collaboration and success in the role.

The role

As a Senior Portfolio Manager Real Estate, you play a key role in portfolio management, capital allocation and strategic discussions.

You work closely with peers and stakeholders and contribute to investment decision-making and portfolio optimization.

What you would do

• Manage and optimise parts of the real estate portfolio across regions and sectors;
• Contribute to portfolio construction and rebalancing decisions;
• Assess investment opportunities and divestments and support Investment Committee processes;
• Monitor portfolio performance, valuation and risk profiles;
• Maintain senior-level dialogue with external managers and partners;
• Integrate ESG and governance considerations into portfolio decisions;
• Act as a mentor and knowledge partner within the Real Estate team.

What you bring

You are an experienced real estate investment professional with strong analytical skills and excellent judgment.

• A university degree in finance, economics, business or a related field;
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in institutional real estate investment or portfolio management;
• Experience with complex portfolios and multiple investment structures;
• Strong financial, analytical and communication skills;
• Comfortable operating in an international, institutional environment.
