Are you an experienced real estate investment professional looking to further develop yourself within an institutional portfolio management role? APG Real Estate is looking for a Portfolio Manager Real Estate to strengthen its team in Amsterdam. APG manages approximately EUR 590 billion of assets. The Real Estate portfolio represents over EUR 50 billion and includes investments in listed and private real estate companies, funds, club deals and joint ventures across global markets. As this position is firmly rooted in our Amsterdam operations, we are looking for someone who is prepared to commit to living and working in the Amsterdam area on a long-term basis. This is essential for effective collaboration and success in the role.

The role

As a Portfolio Manager Real Estate, you support the execution and ongoing management of APG’s real estate portfolios. You work closely with senior portfolio managers and investment teams across regions and sectors.

You contribute across the full investment life-cycle and gradually take on broader responsibilities as your experience grows.

What you would do

• Support the management and positioning of real estate portfolios across regions, sectors and investment structures;
• Contribute to portfolio construction, re-balancing and capital allocation analyses;
• Analyse new investment opportunities and divestments, including financial modelling and valuation;
• Prepare materials for Investment Committees and portfolio reviews;
• Monitor portfolio performance, cash flows and key risk metrics;
• Engage with external managers, joint-venture partners and internal stakeholders;
• Incorporate ESG and governance considerations into portfolio analysis and recommendations.

What you bring

You are an analytically strong investment professional with a solid foundation in real estate and portfolio analysis. Furthermore you bring:

• An university degree in finance, economics, business or a related field;
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in real estate investment, portfolio management or advisory;
• Strong financial analysis and valuation skills;
• Good understanding of real estate markets and investment structures;
• Strong communication skills in English.
