Why Global Markets?

Global Markets is the heart of the Corporate Bank, where clients are advised on the buying and selling of financial products and services, such as equities or currencies. We also support clients with IPOs and bond issuances. Our clients range from private banking to (large) corporate clients, the public sector, and financial institutions. We execute transactions from our dealing rooms in Amsterdam, New York, Frankfurt, London, and Paris.

Corporate Banking Traineeship

Your first 5 weeks at ABN AMRO start with a Corporate Banking Traineeship introduction program at Nyenrode Business University, where you will get to know the bank together with other trainees. During this period, you will be introduced to the (corporate) bank and follow a training program that includes both professional and personal development sessions.

After completing the 5-week introductory program, you will begin the Global Markets rotation program. Over the course of 24 months, you will work in different teams within the dealing room. In addition, you will have the opportunity to rotate within other departments of the Corporate Bank, allowing you to broaden your knowledge and network. It is also possible to gain experience at one of our offices in Frankfurt, Paris, London, or New York. After 24 months, you will be ready to start in a team that best matches your skills and ambitions.

Possible rotations within the Global Markets Traineeship

Fixed Income & Derivatives (FID) Sales & Trading, Foreign Exchange (FX) Sales & Trading, Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Syndicate and Loan Origination, Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Quant desk, Sustainable Finance, Product Management & Strategy, Group Economics, International rotation in Frankfurt, Paris, London, or New York

What does the Global Markets In‑House Day look like?

Through presentations and interactive Q&A sessions, you will learn more about our work and entry-level roles at ABN AMRO Global Markets. You will have the opportunity to meet colleagues from different teams: Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, and Sales & Trading (Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income & Derivatives). In addition, you will learn about the opportunities within the Corporate Banking Traineeship. We will conclude the day with networking drinks.

Are you?

• In the final stage of your academic career (3rd year Bachelor or Master)
• Able to demonstrate an affinity with financial markets and an interest in investment products
• A quick learner with strong communication and analytical skills
• Experienced (internship or otherwise) in Financial Markets and/or possess programming/IT development skills
• Involved in relevant extracurricular activities and/or have international experience
