Automation & MES Engineer

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in our Nunspeet factory, collaborating with a team of experts to ensure our production lines operate seamlessly. Your creativity and problem-solving skills will be essential as you tackle challenges and drive improvements in our processes.

As Automation & MES Engineer, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and improve existing Automation and MES applications;
• Support daily automation topics occurring on the line (HMI-PLC-MES);
• Support root cause analysis for MES and automation issues;
• Identify improvement areas on the line under your responsibility;
• Support improvement projects related to MES and Automation;
• Maintain and improve Automation and MES documentation;
• Troubleshoot electrical issues directly related with the automation system.

As Automation & MES Engineer, you report to the E&A and Automation Teamleader and are part of the Engineering department of Nestlé Netherlands.

What we are looking for

We are seeking candidates who are eager to develop themselves within Nestlé and enjoy collaborating with colleagues from various departments such as Production, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Technology.

The main criteria we are looking for include:

• Bachelor degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or industrial automation;
• Knowledge in PLC controls and affinity with network components and MES;
• Basic electrical knowledge;
• Experience in an engineering role in machine and equipment construction;
• Good command of the English and Dutch languages;
• Initiative, an innovative mindset, and self-awareness;
• A service-oriented attitude and a collaborative spirit;
• Hands-on attitude.
