Do you want to do work that matters, alongside supportive leaders who will help you grow faster than you ever thought possible? Are you a creative problem-solver who is energized by challenges? You’ve come to the right place.

Role overview

You will be responsible for managing the staffing activities and the professional development of a cohort of consultants.

You will be working in the Amsterdam office as part of the Professional Development team and will report to the Manager of Professional Development. Your team is part of the integrated people team and is an integral part of the office, connecting both with the people, as well as with the business and strategic side of our office.

You will be responsible for coaching individuals and contribute to several professional development-related projects in the office. You will have constant interaction with consultants, partners and within the firm’s global staffing community on a day-to-day basis.

You will lead the staffing process by ensuring consultants are staffed on teams that meet both client requirements and the professional development needs of the individuals. You will develop and coach individuals, facilitating professional development within the firm by building strong relationships with each consultant to understand their professional aspirations, experiences, strengths, development needs and relevant personal circumstances.

You will also co-lead the client development time process to ensure meaningful allocation of non-staffed consultants. This involves collecting requests from the leadership and consultants’ allocation to non-client local needs, projects, etc. Moreover, you will be responsible for leading the pre-Associate journey by preparing fellows/junior associates for their journey by organizing events, have 1-on-1 coaching sessions on their plans, and support where needed to guide them through this process.

In addition, you will liaise with staffing coordinators across the global staffing community to explore international opportunities for our consultants and facilitate inbound and outbound assignments.

You are someone who thrives in a high-performance environment, bringing a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit to tackle meaningful challenges that have a real impact.

In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we’ll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to help you quickly broaden your expertise, grow into a well-rounded professional, and contribute to work that truly makes a difference.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a professional services firm, preferably (not required) in a consultant role, or in talent management/professional development, particularly staffing
  • Strong problem-solving skills and capability of thinking through nuanced and complex situations and finding win/win solutions among stakeholders with differing priorities
  • Strong interest and experience in professional development and people, including the ability to build strong relationships with a large group of consultants and a natural curiosity to learn about their strengths and development areas
