Bachelor Internship: Diagnostic Labour Time analysis and improvements

Voor de After Sales afdeling Dealer Workshop Services (DWS) is DAF op zoek naar een afstudeerstagiair voor een opdracht rond diagnostic labour time analysis and improvements.

Diagnostic steps have theoretical labor times defined by DAF, but dealers are paid for actual time spent. In practice, these times do not always match, which leads to dealer complaints.

Functiebeschrijving

For the After Sales department Dealer Workshop Services (DWS) we are looking for a graduate intern.

You will:

• report to the Manager Service & Troubleshooting Information
• work together with several different departments within After Sales, Information Technology and the Costing & Analysis department
• work on the available data of performed Diagnostic cases, in order to analyze the quality/correctness of the Diagnostic Labor Time
• create reports which identify the quality/correctness of Diagnostic Labor Time for the individual diagnostic instructions
• define a process to continuously monitor the data and how to initiate the appropriate actions for the team creating the Diagnostic Labor times
• investigate the available data of the DAF Diagnostic Assistant
• create related reports (PowerBI, Tableau)
• define process proposals for monitoring the data
• define work instructions for the team to continuously improve
• present the proposal to the related teams and their managers

Jouw profiel

We are looking for an eager HBO student International Business, who is interested in gaining experience in the international business of DAF Trucks N.V. with a strong relation to the mother company PACCAR Inc.

Afdeling

The department After Sales is part of the Marketing and Sales organization and has the main task to support DAF Dealerships in servicing their customers in the most efficient way. The scope of responsibility is wide and includes:

• Dealer Workshop Services: parts, service and diagnosis instructions, tools and supporting systems, and service training
• Warranty and Product Improvement
• International Trucks Service: call center for truck drivers when they run into problems with their truck
• Systems and Innovation: supporting maintenance and development of all service-related dealer systems

Departments working closely with After Sales are IT, Product Development and Connected Services.
