As a Procurement Manager Airfreight & Logistics Contracts at PostNL, you play a key role in building and optimizing our international supply chain. You are responsible for sourcing, contracting, and managing strategic logistics partners, with a focus on airfreight as well as additional logistics and postal services.

You operate at the intersection of strategy, commerce, and operations, working closely with a fellow Procurement Manager. Together, you are responsible for the international contract portfolio and act as sparring partners in strategic decisions and complex negotiations.

You collaborate daily with airlines, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders to continuously improve performance, cost efficiency, and partnerships.

Procurement & sourcing

• Lead complex international negotiations with airlines, GSA’s, and logistics partners
• Build and strengthen strategic partnerships across airfreight and logistics services
• Own end-to-end tender processes, from specification to implementation

Contract & supplier management

• Negotiate, finalize, and manage airfreight, logistics, and postal contracts
• Monitor SLAs and contractual performance across an international network
• Act as escalation point for performance and compliance issues
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with partners and stakeholders

Market & optimization

• Track developments in air cargo, logistics, and e-commerce markets
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and scalability
• Continuously improve contract terms and supplier performance

With colleagues across the globe, you contribute to scalable logistics solutions and the expansion of our global network. From The Hague, you collaborate closely with teams in Procurement, Operations, Finance, IT, and Strategy to achieve one shared goal: building Europe’s leading cross-border supply chain.

Dit bezorgen we jou

• Salary between €4,588 and €6,498 gross per month (scale 11), depending on experience, based on 37 hours per week. 32 hours is also possible
• Hybrid working with flexible hours. If you work from home two or more days per week, you receive a net allowance of €45 per month
• 8% holiday allowance and 25 vacation days (full-time)
• Commuting allowance

• 3–5 years of experience in procurement or contract management
• Experience within logistics, airfreight, or supply chain is a strong plus
• Proven experience in international negotiations and supplier management
• Excellent command of English (additional European language is a plus)
• Affinity with air cargo, e-commerce, or logistics processes
