Are you excited to be part of our dynamic team where business meets technology? Driving Rituals' growth through innovative tools within our Tech & Data department.

Enterprise Architect

As an Enterprise Architect at Rituals, you help shape the technology foundations behind our fast-growing international retail business. We’re moving from a project-centric approach to a product-centric operating model, and you’ll be a key sparring partner in making that transition scalable, coherent and value-driven. By applying Team Topologies principles, you’ll help evolve our architecture practice from a central bottleneck into a proactive enabling force for our stream-aligned teams. You’ll contribute to defining and embedding our architectural basics, using Blue Dolphin and TOGAF, so teams can move fast with clear guardrails in place. In doing so, you ensure our technology choices support sustainable growth and long-term coherence across a complex global landscape.

Meet the Team

You’ll join our Tech & Data department and report directly to the Principal Architect. You’ll be part of a small core team of 2–3 Enterprise Architects acting as a Center of Excellence, while mentoring a broader community of around 10 business and domain architects.

We are a young and fast-moving team that values pragmatism over bureaucracy. Our mission is to provide the guardrails that allow delivery teams to move quickly, without breaking the engine.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll focus on making enterprise architecture tangible and useful: something that enables decisions, reduces complexity, and supports teams in delivering great products.

  • Define and drive the enterprise architecture strategy, supporting our shift towards a product-centric, stream-aligned model
  • Map, maintain and simplify the architecture landscape in Blue Dolphin, reducing legacy complexity and point-to-point integrations
  • Establish pragmatic standards and guardrails that help teams move fast while keeping the bigger picture coherent
  • Strengthen architectural maturity with lightweight governance and transparent decision-making through ADRs
  • Influence cost-effective architectural choices so technology remains a driver of sustainable value
  • Act as an enabling partner for delivery teams through reviews, coaching and guidance on modern architectural patterns
  • Grow our architecture community by mentoring domain and business architects and strengthening the community of practice

This is You

You bring a solid architecture foundation, a pragmatic mindset, and the ability to connect people around clear choices. You’re comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and you know when to standardise and when to keep things flexible.

  • Experience: 3–5+ years in architecture roles (Enterprise or Solution) within complex, fast-paced environments
  • Frameworks: Strong knowledge of TOGAF and ArchiMate, applied pragmatically rather than rigidly
  • Tooling: Proficiency with (or strong motivation to master) Blue Dolphin, Bizzdesign, or similar EA tools
  • Mindset: Strong affinity with Team Topologies, Agile and DevOps delivery models
  • Communication: Able to influence stakeholders at all levels and explain architecture in a clear, approachable way
  • Leadership: Proven ability to mentor others and lead through influence

Success Indicators

We’ll know you’re successful when enterprise architecture becomes clearer, more accessible and more actionable, helping teams build the future with confidence.

  • “As-is” and target state architecture documented and actively used in our tooling
  • Visible reduction in landscape complexity and progress towards product-centric ways of working
  • Increased architectural maturity and adoption of standards across domain teams
  • Recognised as a trusted advisor by both technical teams and business leadership
  • A thriving and growing domain architecture community supported through your coaching
