Tony’s Chocolonely is committed to ending exploitation in cocoa. The company makes chocolate while aiming to lead by example, showing that ethical practices and success can go hand in hand. Through Tony's Open Chain, mission allies like Albert Heijn, Ben & Jerry's, Jokolade, and Aldi have embraced a fairer, more transparent supply chain for their chocolate too.

Tony’s Chocolonely is looking for a Recruitment and Employer Brand Intern to join the People & Culture team in Amsterdam. This internship offers a great opportunity to gain hands-on hiring experience in a team that champions unbiased hiring practices, quality of hire, and standout candidate experiences.

Here’s what you’ll learn:

  • Recruitment and selection, including the steps of an end-to-end unbiased recruitment process, participation in strategy meetings, CV screening, structured interviewing and assessment, and offer and contract creation stages.
  • Job marketing and sourcing, including how to write inclusive and compelling job ads, advertise on relevant platforms and channels, and use sourcing to proactively reach specific talent.
  • Data and metrics, including how to analyze recruitment data and draw insights for continuous improvement.
  • Employer branding, including the meaning of internal and external employer brand, why it matters, and how to create authentic stories that reflect company values and purpose.
  • Project management, including contributing to a small improvement project end-to-end with coaching and support from a manager.
  • Stakeholder management, including how to communicate updates and manage expectations of hiring managers and panels throughout the hiring process.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Run the internship recruitment and selection process for spring 2027, including planning, advertising, selecting, and supporting hiring managers in hiring interns based in the Netherlands.
  • Identify opportunities to increase diversity and inclusion in the internship hiring process.
  • Support the talent acquisition team with writing job ads, CV screening, scheduling interviews, and talent mapping to identify and hire top, diverse talent.
  • With support and coaching from a supervisor, coordinate the end-to-end hiring process for a junior role, including conducting recruiter interviews, assessing company and role fit, and coordinating offer negotiations.
  • Support the creation of employer branding and recruitment marketing content.

Job requirements

  • You’re studying for an HBO/university degree in a relevant field, such as business, social sciences, psychology, or human resource management, and are looking to gain practical experience in a high-paced FMCG scale-up business.
  • You have the ambition to grow a career within talent acquisition.
  • You challenge yourself and the team to increase ambition and accomplish the mission, making mistakes along the way and learning from them.
  • You live the core values and believe wholeheartedly in Tony’s mission.
  • Starting on September 1, you'll be part of the talent acquisition team for 6 months.
  • You’re comfortable working in English as a member of the international team.
  • You’ll be living in the Netherlands and enrolled in a HBO/university for the duration of the internship.

Here's what you can expect from us:

  • You'll be part of an enthusiastic team of driven colleagues who share your love for Tony's and the commitment to ending exploitation in cocoa.
  • As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to directly contribute to the success of Tony's Chocolonely and make a real impact.
  • The Amsterdam Houthavens office offers a fresh lunch, snacks, and plenty of chocolate.

Tony’s Chocolonely wants to make all chocolate 100% slave free. Not just our chocolate, but all chocolate worldwide. Not exactly the average company, right? Instead a chocolate company whose primary goal is to resolve a social issue in the world.
