About Us

We are a fast-growing, non-food discounter with more than 3,000 stores in 15 different countries, our Technology department plays an important role in the continuous expansion of our distribution network.

Your Role

As a Sr. Application Analyst SAP Functional you will focus on operating and improving SAP platforms (such as S/4, CAR, EWM & BW) and the underlying SAP infrastructure hosted on MS Azure. You will contribute to the roll-out and migrations of SAP products and be involved in the continuous improvements and optimisations of the extensive SAP landscape at the heart of Action’s business.

Your Daily Tasks

Within the Development & Operations organization, the Shared Application Services team ensures the optimal operation of the SAP landscape and implements initiatives on the Action technology roadmap. The maintenance and operations of the SAP platforms and underlying SAP infrastructure components is outsourced to an offshore managed service provider (MSP). The final accountability for successful SAP operations rests with the Action Shared Application Services team.

As an Sr. Application Analyst SAP Functional:

• Support the entire lifecycle of applications, including planning, development, deployment, and maintenance.
• Be expert in functional understanding of the applications and how the business uses them, as well as how the applications can best support the business.
• Oversee the installation, configuration and security of SAP applications, ensuring they meet Action’s requirements.
• Oversee service delivery to ensure suppliers meet agreed service levels and quality standards.
• Lead continuous improvements and optimizations within the SAP environment.
• Analyse the impact and ensure successful realization of change requests together with the relevant suppliers and the business.
