About the Role

Thuisbezorgd is scaling operations and optimizing performance to new heights—and we need a strong operational planning leader to ensure we win the efficiency and service level battles every day.

In this role as Team Lead Operational Planning, you'll lead a team of planners responsible for ensuring the right number of couriers are scheduled daily across all cities. This role is an exciting blend of people management, analytics, and process optimization, with direct impact on the company's broader logistics strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Courier Demand Planning / Operational Planning

  • Conduct weekly analysis of order volume trends, planning, and operational KPIs
  • Lead weekly stakeholder meetings to enhance order volume forecasting and courier demand planning
  • Own and lead the courier demand planning process for the country
  • Analyze planning and operational KPI trends and drive execution aligned with business needs and targets

Courier Scheduling

  • Own and lead the courier scheduling process for the country
  • Analyze operational KPI trends and refine country operational strategy to align with long-term objectives
  • Lead weekly scheduling strategies in collaboration with local and global stakeholders

Target & Performance Management

  • Partner with the F&P Team Lead and Business Planner to execute planning KPI targets
  • Monitor planning and operational performance against targets and provide actionable insights

Continuous Improvement / Operational Planning

  • Serve as the local Point of Contact (SPOC) for all operational planning matters, processes, and tools
  • Drive change initiatives and partner with the global organization
  • Identify opportunities to enhance planning quality, optimize country performance, and improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement global process and tool improvements locally

Team Management

  • Lead and develop a team of 6-10 FTE, managing performance and providing coaching and support
  • Guide the team through strategic and organizational transformations, facilitating effective change management

What We're Looking For

Required Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in forecasting and planning, analytics, or consultancy roles
  • Strong understanding of delivery business and planning processes
  • People leadership capabilities and proven experience
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel and Tableau)
  • Strong problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and identify trends
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
