Strategic Analyst

As a Strategic Analyst at Marktlink, you support entrepreneurs at every stage of their business journey. As an independent international M&A advisor, Marktlink combines deep market knowledge with a personal and pragmatic approach. Together with our label Marktlink Exit-Ready and other services such as Transaction Services, Legal and Debt Advisory, we support entrepreneurs by preparing their business for sale and guide them throughout the entire sales process. Our label Marktlink Capital offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to invest in strong private equity and venture capital funds.

Your goal

Your goal is simple: provide sharp strategic insights that help leadership make better and faster decisions. As Strategic Analyst, you act as the right hand to the CFO, supporting the Management Team and partner group with analyses, scenarios and clear narratives. You translate data, market developments and strategic plans into actionable insights that directly contribute to the growth and positioning of Marktlink.

Your responsibilities

• Conduct strategic analyses that directly support the Strategic Plan and growth decisions such as new markets, labels and international expansion;
• Translate complex data and strategies into clear insights and compelling presentations for partners and management;
• Advise and challenge the CFO, Managing Partners and Management Team on strategic priorities and positioning;
• Prepare partner meetings and MT sessions where strategy, performance and ambitions are discussed;
• Act as sparring partner to the CFO by shaping analyses, scenarios and strategic storylines;
• Benchmark competitors, consultancies and market developments to identify opportunities and risks;
• Support investment decisions and long-term growth initiatives;
• Contribute to building a strong internal strategic narrative across the organization.

Your profile

• 2–5 years of experience at a top strategy consulting firm or in-house strategy role within an international organization;
• HBO or WO level of thinking and working;
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills;
• Strong storytelling and presentation skills, especially in PowerPoint;
• Proactive and comfortable challenging the status quo;
• Able to translate complex topics into clear and structured insights;
• Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior leadership;
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment;
• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
