As On-Trade Field Sales Manager (Netherlands), you play a critical role in underpinning and accelerating our growth in the Netherlands. You are responsible for driving commercial performance, translating strategic objectives into effective execution, and providing strong, results-oriented leadership. In this capacity, you lead and develop a team of six Account Managers, fostering a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
You will cultivate and maintain strategic relationships across the On-Trade channel, ensuring sustainable business development while identifying and capitalizing on new market opportunities. Through a disciplined, data-driven approach and a strong commercial acumen, you will optimize sales outcomes, strengthen key partnerships, and contribute meaningfully to the organization’s long-term success.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive on-trade sales strategy aligned with overall company strategy, including setting targets, identifying growth opportunities, and monitoring performance
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to the sales teams, including setting performance objectives, providing coaching and mentoring, and conducting regular performance reviews
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key on-trade partners, including bars, restaurants, hotels, nightlife, festivals and event venues, to ensure effective promotion and distribution of Pernod Ricard products
- Collaborate with the (trade) marketing team to create and execute targeted activations and promotions for the on-trade sector with the aim to boost sell-out and develop our brands
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity, identifying opportunities for growth and developing strategies to capitalize on these opportunities
- Work closely with the finance and supply chain teams to ensure accurate forecasting and efficient inventory management
- Represent Pernod Ricard at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, promoting the company's products and services and building brand awareness within the on-trade sector
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies
Requirements
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree (BA, CE, or a related field)
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in sales or business development within the alcoholic beverage industry, with a focus on the on-trade sector and people management
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies and achieving revenue growth targets
- Strong understanding of the on-trade market and the ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities
- Analytical; ways of working are based on data-driven decision making and P&L management, and capable of challenging the financial status quo with the support of RGM
- A confident and articulate communicator capable of inspiring strong collaboration within a matrix organization; excels in stakeholder management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on coaching and developing sales talent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
- Willingness to travel as required
