Seed Technology Solutions Strategy Lead EMEA/ASIA

To strengthen our engaged team we seek an experienced Seed Technology Solutions Strategy Lead EMEA/ASIA.

YOUR NEW ROLE

We are looking for an experienced professional to enhance our engaged team by leading the Seed Technology Solutions Strategy within the EMEA Vegetable Seeds organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of seed technology solution lifecycles, aligning them with market needs and driving innovation. You will also ensure compliance across all aspects of seed technology solutions.

This position is based onsite in Enkhuizen. We embrace a hybrid work model and expect you to be onsite at least two days a week. This will allow you to collaborate effectively and maintain strong relationships with our scientists, discussing regulatory outcomes and translating them into actionable treatment plans.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates the regional seed applied solution-initiatives and first point of contact -as EMEA/ASIA rep- for global Seed Treatment-related initiatives
• Leads a cross-functional team over multiple networks to achieve objectives (covering Regulatory intelligence, Legal, IT systems, research, customer communications)
• Authority to negotiate with external parties for (a) sourcing of all treatment/coating products on behalf of PS EMEA (i.e. Syngenta, BASF, etc.) and (b) service level agreements –SLAs- with seed technology service providers (i.e. Germains, Agrifirm, etc.)
• Bayer representative in NL industry trade association (on Crop Health and Environment) and core team member in network of Bayer reps in trade associations across Europe
• Leads the EMEA VS Seed Technology Solutions Strategy team (i.e., define objectives, priorities & execute)
• Represent Veg Seeds needs to Bayer CP Asset Management and GLB Field solutions team and drives product development
• Creates and builds awareness across the company on seed applied solutions compliance matters, includes training and communication
• Accountable for the continuous rationalization of the offerings portfolio, facilitates review and decisions (e.g., the SKU reduction initiatives & pricing strategy)

• Reports to the EMEA/ASIA Seed Processing Lead
• Direct interface with the EMEA Veg Seeds Product Supply Leadership team (N-4) and their leadership teams (N-5)
• Direct interface with Commercial; Sales, Strategic Marketing/Segment Leads
• GLB VS Stewardship & GLB MEX
• Regulatory Affairs and -Stewardship & Legal
• Bayer GLB CP Asset Management and R&D Field Solutions
• RC EMEA Product Supply and RC Seed Applied Solutions
• Multiple industrial partners; chemical and service providers

WHO YOU ARE

• M.Sc. or MBA degree with emphasis on Biology, Agriculture or related field
• 8+ years experience in the seed industry or comparable business area
• 5+ years experience in people leadership
• Proven track record dealing with regulatory matters
• Proven track record of successfully managing change across functions and regions as well as high-profile (cross-functional) projects
• Results-driven and has capacity to influence all layers of the organization
• Highly comfortable in volatile & ambiguous environments
• Agility: Enabler with strong desire to break status quo through challenging existing (restraining) conventional views
