What are you going to do?

Work on mobile apps that are used daily by store employees and managers at global retailers like Hugo Boss, G-Star RAW, and Levi’s. As a Mobile App Developer at Nedap in Retail, you contribute to solutions that make retail operations simpler, more efficient, and more enjoyable for people on the shop floor. You combine technical craftsmanship with a strong focus on user experience. If you enjoy building intuitive apps that have real-world impact, this role is for you.

At Nedap in Retail, we develop Digital Twin Technology solutions that give retailers real-time insight into their inventory and store processes. Our mobile apps play a key role in this: they directly support store employees in their daily work. As a Mobile App Developer, you take ownership of building and improving these apps. You work closely with backend developers and UX designers to create scalable, high-quality mobile experiences. At the same time, you actively contribute to technical decisions and continuously look for ways to improve both the product and the way we work. You’ll be part of a team where autonomy, responsibility, and collaboration go hand in hand. We trust you to make decisions and take initiative, while always learning from each other.

Your responsibilities

  • Build impactful mobile features: develop and improve mobile applications that are used daily in stores worldwide.
  • Shape technical direction: contribute to architectural decisions and help define how we build scalable mobile solutions.
  • Create intuitive user experiences: translate user needs into smooth, user-friendly interfaces.
  • Collaborate across disciplines: work closely with backend developers and UX designers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Continuously improve: actively explore new technologies and improve development practices within the team.
  • Own your development: take responsibility for your personal and professional growth.

Your team

You’ll join a close-knit app team focused on mobile development (iOS and Android). We combine strong technical expertise with a pragmatic, hands-on mindset.

Within the team, we value ownership and autonomy. You’re encouraged to take initiative, explore ideas, and challenge decisions. At the same time, collaboration is key: we learn from each other and work together to build solutions that truly make a difference for our users.

What's in it for you?

As a Mobile Developer at Nedap, you make a meaningful contribution to our mission: helping people become happier and more successful in their professional lives. In addition to your salary, you are entitled to a 13th month, a solid pension plan, and profit sharing with the opportunity to become a shareholder in Nedap.

At Nedap, everything revolves around trust and autonomy. That’s why, in consultation with your colleagues, you determine your own working hours and vacation days to ensure a healthy work-life balance. We also place great value on personal and professional growth. You will receive a comprehensive onboarding program, and we actively encourage you to keep developing yourself.

Required skills

You are a communicative and proactive Mobile App Developer who enjoys working closely with others to create the best solutions. You take initiative, are curious by nature, and like to explore new possibilities.

  • Mobile development experience: experience with iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and/or Android (Kotlin/Java).
  • Curiosity for new technologies: interest in technologies like Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or similar.
  • Different seniority levels: we welcome Junior, Medior and Senior candidates, depending on your experience.
  • Educational background (Junior): HBO/WO degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
  • Experience (Medior/Senior): several years of relevant experience in mobile development.
  • Language skills: strong command of English; Dutch is a plus.
