Trademark and design attorney

As a trademark and design attorney, you will manage trademark and design portfolios for both our domestic and international clients. You will advise clients about how to protect and enforce their trademarks, designs, trade names and copyright. You will guide and monitor registration procedures and maintain contact with clients and organisations.

We are looking for a new colleague for our Trademark and Design department for 24 hours a week. The department consists of multiple trademark attorneys, paralegals, and administrative colleagues. Our team is made up of driven, enthusiastic people who are not afraid to share new ideas and work together to get things done.

As a Trademark and Design Attorney at V.O., you will manage your own portfolio of trademarks and designs for clients both in the Netherlands and abroad. You will have a lot of freedom to shape your own practice.

Your responsibilities will include filing trademark and design registrations, advising clients on the best strategies for trademark and design protection, guiding them through legal procedures concerning infringements of their rights. You collaborate with our attorneys on infringement cases and other legal conflicts. Additionally, you will expand your own practice and engage in business development independently. Administrative tasks may also be part of the responsibilities.

Who are we looking for?

• You have a completed Master’s degree in Intellectual Property, Law, or a related field.
• You preferably have more than 3 years of experience with trademark and design registrations and a good understanding of intellectual property law.
• You have excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• You are accurate, proactive, and have a client-oriented attitude.
• A completed BMM professional qualification or you are about to complete it.
