Legal Assistant and Educational Coordinator

Job description

As a Legal Assistant Education and Student Affairs, you will be on the frontline administration, processing and guiding student requests within the regulatory and legal confines. You will learn the ebbs and flows of the yearly academic cycle, assisting with and identifying efficiency gains to smooth the operational peaks and valleys to facilitate improvement of the student experience.

In this position, you will work closely with the Secretary of the Board of Examiners and colleagues from the International Office/Internship Office. Assisting the International & Internship Offices with various student-facing requests and administrative tasks, this could include, but is not limited to:

  • Review and advise contracts related to: Internships; Graduation agreements; Knowledge security; Thesis research

In addition, you will have several responsibilities that will require attention on a sporadic basis. Prior to the start of an upcoming academic year, this role serves as secretary to the BSA committee for first year Bachelor students that provides binding study advice on the continuation of studies. Furthermore, your work will be further shaped in consultation with your immediate colleagues, depending on your knowledge and expertise. Job requirements

We are looking for a passionate legal assistant for 5 days a week. Because we are an international university, an excellent command of Dutch and English (both verbally and in writing) is necessary.

You preferably have a completed relevant education (such as HBO Law), and relevant work experience is a plus, not a requirement. What we really care about:

  • Organized and a go-getter: You are practical and are not afraid of the administrative side of every task.
  • Analytical and accurate: You work in a structured way and have a keen eye for detail.
  • Inquisitive view: You actively look for improvements in related educational processes and legal advice.
  • Digital skills: Experience working in digital systems is an important part of your job.
