Apprentice

Independent, creative and future oriented; this internship focuses on helping put the Data, Transformation & Continuous Improvement (DTCI) department within Component Services (CS) on the map, and making a real impact on how the team collaborates and communicates. This department is responsible for executing all change and transformation initiatives within CS, where internal communication is essential to success. If you are excited by supporting projects, coming up with creative communication ideas, and working to align CS employees, this may be the internship for you.

What will you do?

Your tasks will include:

Main focus - Project Support:

• Coordinating weekly project and program updates for the CS management team, including scheduling regular updates, managing calendar invites, and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
• Assisting in monthly strategy progress reviews by gathering input from across the business and preparing presentation materials
• Providing support to change managers on transformation initiatives or projects, such as creating project communications/plannings, taking meeting minutes, and facilitating project meetings

Internal Communication:

• Setting up and maintaining internal communication for the DTCI team by writing texts for the weekly CS newsletter
• Improving internal communication within the team to increase team cohesion
• Documenting team processes, such as onboarding of new colleagues
• Assisting in organizing internal team meetings and events

Where do you land?

You will work at Component Services, part of KLM Engineering & Maintenance (KLM E&M). The unit is responsible for maintaining components and ensuring component availability for both Air France KLM and external clients. The team you will be working with is international, with colleagues from different backgrounds and a wide range of ages, creating a dynamic environment with opportunities for cross-generational learning and exchanging perspectives.

Your profile

Dutch-speaking HBO- or WO-Bachelor or master students who are passionate about communications and project management. You are proactive, eager to learn, and see feedback as an opportunity to grow. You are strong in communication and not afraid to share your opinion and advice. Examples of relevant fields of studies are business administration, communication, and marketing. This is a working internship.

You are:

• Able to work independently but enjoy collaborating in a team setting
• A self-starter with a strong personality who likes new challenges
• A natural writer, and you enjoy making vlogs and/or videos
• Organised and have great time-management abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva)
• A Dutch speaker (pre-requisite due to the activities of this internship)
• Registered in a Dutch educational institution during the entire internship period
• Available from the end of May/ September 1st for 4-5 days a week, for a minimum period of 6 to 9 months
