Position Overview
A Financial and Management Information Systems (FMIS) Analyst acts as a strategic bridge between finance, management, and technology. In this role, you will ensure that the organization’s financial data is accurate, secure, and easily accessible to leaders for making critical business decisions.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- System Design & Maintenance: Design, implement, and maintain the software and databases used for financial and management reporting.
- Data Integration: Integrate complex data from various sources like Enterprise Resource Planning applications (ERP) into unified management information systems like ExQL & Oracle EPM.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Develop automated financial reports and interactive dashboards that track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for senior management.
- Process Optimization: Analyse existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend technological solutions or automation.
- Data Integrity & Security: Perform regular reviews and internal controls to ensure financial data is accurate, compliant with regulations (like Sox), and protected from unauthorized access.
- User Support & Training: Serve as the primary contact for troubleshooting system issues and training staff on how to use financial software effectively.

Key Functional Competencies
You possess the following:
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite, and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems such as ExQL, Oracle EPM, Tagetik or OneStream.
- Data Languages: Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and optimization, combined with strong experience in database administration and data modelling within relational databases. Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis, automation, and advanced analytical tasks is a plus.
- Business Intelligence Tools: Experienced with Qlik, Tableau or Power BI for end to end BI development, including data preparation, semantic modelling, and creation of interactive dashboards and analytical reports.
- Business Acumen: An understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and how financial health impacts overall business strategy.
Experience / Education
You are/have:
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems like ExQL, Oracle, or OneStream, including management information systems for budgeting, forecasting, or reporting.
- Strong SQL skills and solid experience with database administration or advanced data modelling.
- Experience with visualisation tools for end to end BI development, including data preparation, semantic modelling, and creation of interactive dashboards and analytical reports.
- An understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and how financial health impacts overall business strategy.
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Data/Information Systems.
Team & Stakeholders
The ExQL Reporting team is based in the International Division Head Office located in Amsterdam. The team consists of 5 people working close together with a number of stakeholders:
- CRH International Division Financial Management
- CRH Group Finance stakeholders
- Operating companies
- Performance teams
- Business controllers
- Internal and external Technology departments and partners
The team maintains the Financial consolidation and reporting application ExQL Reporting and all interfaces to other Group and International Division systems.
