HR Advisor

How you make an impact

At Neways Leeuwarden, HR is about more than processes and administration. As an HR Advisor, you are the primary HR point of contact for the Operating Company Leeuwarden. You translate the Neways HR strategy and long-term vision into concrete actions on the work floor.

You work closely with the HR Manager for Leeuwarden, who works in a hybrid setup (partly on-site in Leeuwarden and partly from other Neways locations). In this role, you will have the opportunity to take increasing ownership within HR and develop towards a broader, more strategic role within the Leeuwarden Management Team. The intention is that, over time, you will (partly) take over HR representation in the MT.

You support and advise the MT and managers on topics such as leadership, performance, employability, absenteeism, development and organizational development. You help build clear HR structures, professional HR processes and strong employee experience.

You work independently for our location, but you are not alone: administrative HR processes (such as contracts, mutations and personnel files) are supported by the Shared Service Center in Son. This allows you to focus on advisory, development and organizational impact.

What you bring to the team

You are an independent HR Advisor who wants to develop towards a broader, more strategic role. You feel comfortable in a production environment and can easily switch between strategic thinking at MT level and hands-on action on the work floor.

Additionally, you bring:

  • A completed Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in HRM, MER or comparable;

  • Several years of experience as an HR Advisor / HR Business Partner (preferably in a production or technical environment);

  • The ambition to grow towards an MT role / broader HR responsibility;

  • Knowledge of relevant employment legislation;

  • Good command of Dutch and English;

  • Availability for 32–40 hours per week;

  • Strong skills in Excel and HR systems;

  • A pragmatic, people-oriented and proactive mindset.

Your daily responsibilities

As an HR Advisor at Neways Leeuwarden, you are responsible for the full HR domain within the Operating Company, in close alignment with the HR Manager for Leeuwarden and the broader HR community within Neways. Your responsibilities include:

  • Advising, coaching and supporting managers on HR topics (performance, absenteeism, employability, development);

  • Guiding organizational development and change processes;

  • Implementing and safeguarding HR policies, processes and tooling from Neways;

  • Translating strategic HR themes into practical interventions on the work floor;

  • Contributing to talent development, succession planning and sustainable employability;

  • Acting as a sparring partner for management and employees;

  • Coordinating with the Shared Service Center in Son for administrative HR processes;

  • Collaborating with Recruiters, L&D and other HR specialists within Neways;

  • Gradually taking on more responsibility in representing HR towards the MT.
