Buffer & Media Operator

For our team in Leiden, we are looking for an enthusiastic Buffer & Media Operator.

In this position you will be part of a production operations team that produces end-to-end clinical material for advanced therapies, specially focused on cell and gene therapies. This includes production of media & buffers, cell banks, starting material like virus seeds and plasmids, API and DS for several different modalities.

You will be required to adhere to GxP guidelines and for some activities you will be required to enter clean rooms. Your activities will include:

• Production of a wide range of buffers and media for both GMP and non-GMP applications.
• Buffer/Media preparation on scales ranging from 10 ml to 200L.
• Supporting the introduction of new buffers for new processes.
• Supporting the equipment & material introduction for new buffers and processes.
• Support other areas of operations as required.

Qualifications

• MLO degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences or related sciences;
• Experience in a pharmaceutical environment and knowledge of GxP is preferred;
• You are flexible and proactive;
• You enjoy working in a team and communicate well;
• You are accurate, and have great attention to detail;
• You can work independently;
• You are a quick learner who thrives in a dynamic environment;
• You are self-motivated with a positive attitude;
• You enjoy volunteering your ideas and working on continuously improving your environment;
• You are fluent in English (spoken/written).
