About XtRNA Bio:

At XtRNA Bio we are developing tRNA-based therapies for inherited rare disorders. Our approach modifies tRNA pools to correct translational dysfunction, moving beyond symptomatic care. We’re a young company with a culture built on curiosity, honest science and a strong drive to make an impact. We welcome people who like to learn, ask questions, and take ownership of their work. If you’re looking for a place where you can grow fast, contribute to real experiments, and be part of an ambitious scientific journey, we’d love to meet you.

Position Overview:

This is a lab-based role embedded on the Radboud campus. You will support translational R&D across in-vivo, in-vitro, molecular biology, and biochemistry workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mouse behavioural assays, perfusion, and tissue dissection.
  • Execute molecular analyses: RNA isolation, qPCR, Northern blot, protein quantification, and related mechanistic studies.
  • Process tissues for histology and immunohistochemistry.
  • Run in-vitro cell assays to characterise AAV vectors.

Qualifications:

  • HAN, BSc or MSc in molecular life sciences, biology, neuroscience, biomedical sciences, biotechnology, or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience with molecular techniques (e.g., PCR, Western blot, genotyping, qPCR). Experience with Northern blot techniques is a big plus.
  • Certified to work with rodents (Art. 9 or Art. 13F2; FELASA required).
  • Experience in mouse handling, perfusion, and tissue dissection desired.
  • Experience with histology, immunohistochemistry, and imaging is a plus.
  • Motivated, creative team player with a positive, constructive attitude.
  • Proactive and adaptable to a fast-paced start-up environment; excellent time management and independence.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Send us your CV and a short motivation, we look forward to meeting curious, hands-on scientists who want to build something meaningful with us.
