The Business Development Manager EMEA will lead the growth of Booking.com's Travel Media Network across EMEA, focusing on driving sponsored advertising solutions. You’ll play a crucial role in driving growth, building new partnerships and delivering impactful advertising solutions. This role will involve ad sales skills and requires someone with a background in business development, a good understanding of the advertising landscape, and who is eager to take our advertising business to the next level. The role will report into the Commercial Manager Advertising based in Amsterdam.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Act as the primary contact for assigned accounts concerning Sponsored Listings campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with partners.
  • Understand client goals and translate them into effective Sponsored listing strategies.
  • Responsible for managing relationships with decision makers of regional, national, or local group partners or high value properties post campaigns and driving sponsored listings performance.
  • Monitor campaigns for delivery, performance and discrepancies; recommending appropriate optimizations where necessary.
  • Effectively communicate a detailed understanding of advertising specifications and guidelines as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships including but not limited to local account manager team, accommodations partners, vendor and business teams.
  • Consult, support and collaborate with internal stakeholders in managing partners to optimize their sponsored listings performance, such as (Sr.) key account managers and local offices.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of Booking.com B.V. products, local market and operations of partners managed.
  • Independently manage projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2-3 years of digital media sales experience, ideally within the travel or hospitality industry. Experience with sponsored advertising is essential.
  • Fluent in either German, French, or Italian (please ensure this is clearly stated in your CV).
  • Strong analytical skills: Ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed decisions.
  • Strong knowledge of e-commerce and travel industry and related market trends.
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of single property partners as well as complex multi-property partners.
  • Good knowledge of digital ad formats.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead high-level presentations, manage client relationships, and ensure alignment between client objectives and internal team execution.
  • Proficient with tools like Excel and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Strong relationship management skills.
