About the role

As we build the world’s first dedicated SAF Plant (DSL-01) in Delfzijl, your Procurement skills & experience will ensure that every critical system, service, and supplier is in place to bring this groundbreaking SAF facility to life.

What you'll be doing:

You’ll be the driving force behind procurement and contracting for the DSL-01 project, ensuring that all outsourced services, IT/OT systems, laboratory services, maintenance contracts, and essential goods are tendered, negotiated, and delivered on time and within budget.

Your expertise in Procurement strategy, tendering & contracting, contract management, supplier negotiations, and risk identification will be central to building a high-performing SAF production facility. A substantial part of your role will focus on IT/OT contracting (ERP, MES, CMMS, OTS, etc.), making your experience & insights into IT Contracting & system implementation a key differentiator.

Please note that the role can be based either in our Amsterdam HQ or future operational team office in Delfzijl. Your collaborative spirit will be crucial as you partner with colleagues in our Amsterdam HQ, DSL-01 Project Team (in Zoetermeer), and future operational teams in Delfzijl—becoming a key business ally for the DSL-01 project and its future Plant leadership.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing tenders and contracting suppliers for IT/OT systems, outsourced lab services, outsourced maintenance, and all goods & services supporting the successful start-up of the DSL-01 SAF Plant.
  • Developing and implementing robust procurement strategies.
  • Leading supplier, contractor, and vendor selection, evaluation, and onboarding.
  • Monitoring contractor and supplier performance against contractual agreements.
  • Ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations, including managing amendments and claims.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating procurement and contractual risks.
  • Ensuring adherence to industry regulations, corporate policies, and legal standards.
  • Managing claims and disputes in close collaboration with the legal team.
  • Acting as a liaison between owners, contractors, suppliers, and legal teams.
  • Building long-term, trust-based relationships with vendors for ongoing collaboration.
  • Helping shape procurement strategy for the operational phase of the DSL-01 SAF plant.
