About the Team

The Specialized Nutrition global strategy team’s mandate lays right at the heart of the food revolution and Danone’s transformation and value creation journey. We work on the most impactful business opportunities across the enterprise anticipating changes and identifying new pockets of growth, reinventing the way we create value in line with the evolution of our landscape and company values, delivering high performance today while setting our future direction.

In this position, you will join a diverse extended team with wide-ranging backgrounds, nationalities, and expertise, and partner across Specialized Nutrition and Danone, reporting to the Global SN Strategy and New Business director, based in the Global Division Headquarter in Hoofddorp, Netherlands.

About the Job

This position works across the business with x-functional teams (marketing, sales, medical, regulatory, supply, quality) to develop the strategic narrative of Danone Specialized Nutrition and leads the Strategic Annual Planning process, whilst working closely with the SNu Board to structure, prioritize and develop strategic priorities and growth spaces.

The position requires strong analytical and communication skills, with a passion to connect the dots and make sense of available information to identify value pools. It has key role in building our collective future and thus must be open to integrate the external world and trends, competition, and inspirational models to our collective thinking and drive growth answering the question: "where should we prioritize and hunt for future value for Danone SN, serving life and needs of parents, babies and patients?”

About you

The ideal candidate is business-minded, consumer/patient/ people-centric, self-motivated. A collaborative and highly structured strategic thinker who is driven for results, has excellent written and oral communication skills, is comfortable with uncertainty and has a track record influencing complex teams and supporting senior stakeholders, with a holistic business drivers’ understanding and value focus.

  • You are an experienced professional with 12+ years of professional relevant experience, ideally with a mix of consulting and multinational industry experience
  • You are a highly structured strategic thinker with strong business background. Having an MBA or master’s in finance and commercial experience is a plus. You have solid business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and thrive in highly diverse teams, managing multiple topics simultaneously.
  • You can bring clarity and simplicity to complex business problems/ environments, identify alternative solutions and scenario based on assumptions and have a strong understanding of business drivers.
  • You have a proven track record of building strong relationships across the organization and externally: leadership by influence. You can navigate with gaps in the information, feeling comfortable playing with hypothesis, and building scenarios and thinking out of the box
  • You are comfortable with uncertainty and flexible thinking, are curious, yet rigorous. You enjoy working in diverse topics and have a strong track record as a problem solver, can handle uncertainty and identify insights despite incomplete information to identify future sources of value and enable decision making

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the execution Specialized Nutrition Strategic annual cycle, supporting the SN Board to structure the strategic frame, coordinating multi-functional and cross-category teams and developing the integrated narrative of the division
  • Lead projects to identify the most valuable growth spaces for Specialized Nutrition to play and win in the long term through new business models, reframing and expansion of our core business: MT/LT vision, growth spaces identification and validation (fact and data based): Scope opportunities, identify risk, size of the price, ability to win, whilst considering trends, regulatory context
  • Identify routes and requirements for operationalization: how to win on prioritized areas with adapted business model (in partnership with category and regional/local teams)
  • Lead role on setting up and coordinating and implementing events where we can connect with the SN global leaders to drive our strategic agenda

  • Effective Strategic planning process, convergent with Zones planning cycles and well connected to company calendar/ Comex priorities
  • Integrated and aligned strategic narrative and priorities for the Specialized Nutrition business: Where to play, how to win – incl. new growth spaces, new business models, core business re-invention
  • Quantified market value analysis and competitive landscape to assess new business opportunities and model shift in sync with Danone SN’s assets and ambition
  • Lead the managing for value mindset for identification and prioritization of growth spaces, adjacencies, and expansion projects for Danone SN
