Role Description:

This role is based in Amsterdam. You would join the Program Delivery team as part of the Marketplace business unit. This team is responsible for managing complex technical program deliveries towards building the connected travel experiences for our customers. Booking.com's Marketplace Department turns travel goals into travel realities. Our purpose is to create frictionless experiences at each and every stage of the trip. From browsing to booking and beyond, our focus is on building the connected experiences which make journeys smoother, faster and more enjoyable.

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • You will be leading the delivery of technical solutions to business problems as cross-team initiatives
  • Align priorities across the organisation to ensure successful program outcomes
  • Put into place a realistic and objective delivery plan, rooted in a thorough end-to-end technical solution and informed by data and suitable delivery metrics
  • Manage, visualise, and address risks, issues, and dependencies to facilitate successful delivery
  • Ensure effective communication and stakeholder management is maintained
  • Drive and own the standardisation of delivery governance across diverse organisational cultures and practices
  • Ensure the application of delivery best practices aligning with agile delivery principles
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous improvement in delivery practices

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 10+ years in software delivery including 4+ years in a Technical program management role
  • Proven track record of moving technical or engineering programs from conception to successful completion, quantifying impact using metrics, growth examples, and ROI
  • Deep understanding and proven experience in delivering complex software solutions. You have managed large scale and diverse software change that ensures reliability and easier to scale the change
  • Expertise in technical program management methodologies such as Scaled Agile, SaFe, LeSS, PMP
  • Experience moving technical or engineering programs from concept to completion and experience articulating the impact using metrics, growth examples, returns
  • Exceptional ability to manage and partner with diverse stakeholders, including cross-functional, multi-disciplinary, and senior leadership teams across different time zones.
  • Innovative problem-solver, adept at driving consensus and steering discussions toward programmatic solutions.
  • Possesses a data-driven decision making mindset
  • Strategic thinker with a strong focus on hands-on execution and delivering results.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google sheets functions, and experience working with project management tools (Jira is preferred, Miro…)
