In this internship, you will perform in-depth analysis, build data infrastructure, and support our work with grants and incentive programs in the Netherlands, Europe, and the US. Your assignment

You will help the team analyze ASML’s innovation ecosystem and develop tools that improve decision-making. Your work will involve data collection, interpretation, and translating insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of the ASML innovation ecosystem, mapping out key actors, processes, and trends.
  • Develop and implement data infrastructure to support ongoing ecosystem analysis and insights.
  • Gather, structure, and interpret data from a variety of internal and external sources.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for the Innovation Partnerships & Incentives team.
  • Collaborate with team members to refine methodologies and optimize data workflows.
  • Prepare consortium meetings by analyzing input from consortium partners to improve efficiency.

This is a bachelor’s or master’s internship for a minimum of 6 months, 3–5 days per week (maximum 2–3 days working from home).

Your profile

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Innovation Management, Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, Business Administration).
  • Innovation Knowledge: Understanding of innovation principles and the dynamics of innovation ecosystems.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with data analysis, IT tools, and programming languages (such as Python, R, or SQL).
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to synthesize complex information and generate insights.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to present findings and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with willingness to learn and contribute within a multi-disciplinary team.

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular.
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
