As a Senior Technical Innovation Expert, you’ll lead the charge in shaping the future of consumer appliances. You’ll guide breakthrough innovation initiatives from ideation to concept validation, focusing on electronics, motor control, sensor integration, and display technologies. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic vision, offering the opportunity to influence our product portfolio and elevate our innovation capabilities. You’ll collaborate across disciplines, build prototypes, and translate technical possibilities into compelling, consumer-focused solutions.

The impact you’ll make:

• Lead innovation initiatives across the full cycle—from early ideation to concept mock-ups and validation.
• Translate complex technologies into functional models and frameworks, enabling clear stakeholder evaluation through structured scorecards.
• Identify and implement opportunities by conducting cross-industry analysis in electronics, motors, sensors, and display technologies.
• Ensure feasibility by assessing concepts against technical, production, and investment requirements.
• Build and test prototypes to optimize performance and cost, while investigating the physics behind performance improvements.
• Develop alternative approaches and evaluate trade-offs to identify the most effective technical solutions.
• Bridge innovation and business by creating specifications that ensure commercial viability and profitability.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including concept management, product development, design, and business teams.
• Leverage partnerships within and beyond the consumer appliance sector to accelerate innovation.
• Cultivate global networks of specialists in electronics and related fields.
• Apply agile methodologies to speed up innovation and reduce time-to-market.
• Stay ahead of trends by actively engaging with emerging technologies and professional communities.
• Shape innovation strategy by contributing to platform strategies that drive performance, quality, and cost improvements.

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

Education: Master’s degree (M.Sc. or M.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Control Systems preferred. Candidates with a background in Industrial Design Engineering, especially in Consumer Electronics, are highly valued.

Experience:

• At least 8 years of experience in consumer-focused product development, working on large-scale projects with cross-functional teams and external technology partners.
• Deep expertise in electronics, motor, sensor, and display technologies, with a proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear consumer benefits.
• Strong track record in driving innovation processes and contributing to platform strategies within the consumer sector.
