Join ASML’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) Team

Introduction

Join ASML’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, where we safeguard access to critical systems across the company. As part of our mission to improve usability and reduce operational overhead, we are developing a custom Identity Dashboard to replace the frequently changing Keycloak user interface. This internship offers you the opportunity to contribute to a scalable solution that simplifies IAM operations for internal teams.

Your assignment

You will design and build a modular Identity Dashboard with both front-end and back-end components. The back-end will expose a stable API, documented using OpenAPI, to interface with ASML’s IAM platform. This project will help internal teams manage identity tasks more efficiently and securely.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Design a clean, responsive front-end interface for IAM operations
  • Develop a stable back-end API using Golang
  • Document the API using OpenAPI standards
  • Containerize the dashboard for deployment and scalability
  • Align the solution with ASML’s security and compliance standards
  • Test the dashboard against live IAM instances
  • Collect and incorporate feedback from internal stakeholders

This is a bachelor or master internship for a minimum of 6 months, 3-5 days per week (with at least 2 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of February 2026.

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

  • Are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
  • Have experience with front-end frameworks such as plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Are familiar with back-end development, preferably in Python (Flask/FastAPI) or Golang
  • Understand API design and documentation principles
  • Are proactive, analytical, and collaborative in your approach

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship
  • Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation explaining why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. If you are currently living or studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter should include your willingness to relocate.
  • If you are a non-EU citizen studying in the Netherlands, your university must be willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
