The internship

HEINEKEN is committed to continuously improving the sustainability and performance of its breweries around the world. To support this ambition, we aim to strengthen the knowledge and technical capability of our Utilities teams through engaging, high-quality training materials.

During this internship, you will play a key role in developing and updating Utilities training content (covering Water, Wastewater, WRP, Air, Steam, CO₂, and Cooling Plant) and preparing materials for relaunch on Heineken’s learning platform, UBrew. You will also help update the Utilities SharePoint page, consolidating best practices and standards to support learning and knowledge sharing across breweries.

In this internship you will be responsible for:

  • Prepare and refresh existing Utilities training content for Heineken’s Learning Platform, UBrew
  • Support the relaunch of training modules for key utility systems (Water, Wastewater, WRP, Air, Steam, CO₂, Cooling)
  • Create and organize visual and written learning materials to enhance knowledge and engagement
  • Update and structure the Utilities SharePoint page with best practices, standards, and relevant materials
  • Collaborate with the Global Sustainable Production and Global Project and Engineering teams to ensure consistency and quality of content

The department

The Sustainable Production department (part of Global Production, Supply Chain) consists of a multidisciplinary team, working on different subjects of sustainability of our operations such as water and energy usage, decarbonization, wastewater management and reporting. The team is made up of professionals from different countries, expertise and academic background with all one goal to make our operations more sustainable.

The terms of employment

  • Your starting date is 1 February 2026
  • The internship is full time
  • The duration of the internship is 6 months
  • It is a practice-oriented internship
  • You will be based in Amsterdam
  • During your internship, you have the flexibility to work in a hybrid setup
  • You will receive an internship fee of €650 gross per month based on 40 hours per week
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on full time)
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Communication, or a related field
  • Passionate about sustainability, learning, and operational excellence
  • Strong communication and content creation skills (visual, written, or digital)
  • Familiarity with digital learning tools or content design is a plus
  • Proactive, structured, and creative mindset

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
    1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
    2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  2. You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.
  3. You are in possession of a valid citizen service number (BSN).
