Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like solar PV and batteries. Today we develop, construct and operate wind generation in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. In addition, we have a clear strategy to develop our solar PV and battery operations further.

The Maintenance Development team within Technical Integrity Management, Integrated Operations is looking for our new Intern to complement our team. This team anchors the maintenance strategy governance within Generation, BU Offshore, BA Wind, supporting the ‘Top Quartile Operator’ initiative, and delivers 25+ year maintenance plans in SAP based on a Reliability Centered Maintenance approach. We use the FMECA methodology (Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analyses) to identify insights into the risks associated with possible system failures and optimize maintenance.

What are you going to do?

You will work with a variety of stakeholders, especially with Operations, Supply Chain & Maintenance Systems, Operational Readiness, Digital Engineering, and Project Delivery & Engineering departments to ensure focus on optimizing the maintenance operational life and yield of Vattenfall’s operating assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help the Maintenance Development Engineers create and adjust SAP task lists according to our process.
  • Provide ad hoc support for maintenance processes, improvement projects, and other team deliverables as agreed on an ongoing basis.

Who are you?

You are currently following a study at a University of Applied Sciences (HBO) in the field of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Ideally, you need to complete your 3rd year internship, as this will allow you to gain solid practical experience. You have an interest in working with FMECA or similar risk analysis tools. You are a self-motivated team player with a can-do attitude and an owner’s mindset that proactively contributes to the wider team objectives.

Furthermore:

  • You possess very good intercultural and interpersonal skills to communicate and collaborate well with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You are detail-oriented and analytical.
  • Experience in SAP or any other CMMS/ERP is considered a plus.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English (verbal and written).
