About the job

You will be part of the AS Watson team Benelux, which is our biggest customer in the consumer products division. Your responsibility will involve managing a significant product portfolio for both the Netherlands as well as Belgium. This is a big responsibility as this portfolio represents one of our key business areas in our division and you’re responsible for the largest customer.

To succeed at this position, we are looking for a colleague who gets energy from building relationships, knows how to manage stakeholders internal (marketing, business development, supply chain, finance) and externally (category manager AS Watson), is entrepreneurial and want to improve the business with a data driven and RGM mindset.

As a person you need to be pro-active and control your own business, but on the other hand also play a part in our team. In your daily job you need to be analytical strong, but pragmatic when the situation requires. Lastly, AS Watson is a great but demanding customer, you need to be able to stand strong.

The total team exist of 5 Account managers and 3 Account supports, together you will report to the Group Account manager.

Your responsibilities are:

  • Contributing to the division and team’s business vision by sharing account perspectives and opportunities in-line with this vision
  • Stakeholder management on a daily business with AS Watson as well as internal (marketing, business development, finance, supply chain)
  • P&L responsible for your own category, meaning you oversee your investments in promotions and retailer investments such as media, based on data/RGM.
  • Create a strategic (year) account plan for the category based on the priorities from a brand and category point of view, as well as the customer’s focus points
  • Accurate forecasting and alignment with supply chain
  • Negotiations for your category on customer investments and create compelling sales story for your launch- and activation plans

Our ideal candidate has or is:

  • 5+ years of commercial experience
  • Master degree
  • Strong influencer, stakeholder management
  • Analytical skills, to make decisions based on data
  • Fluent in Dutch & English (must)
