Your Department

As an Operational Supplier Coordinator, you will be part of the Global Spare Parts team within the Business Unit Supply. The Spare Parts department is globally responsible for the portfolio management, sales, planning, ordering and delivery of Vanderlande’s material handling spare parts. The department is divided into three sub-teams:

  • Logistics – responsible for material planning, ordering, operational supplier management, warehousing, and outbound logistics of spare parts. You will be part of this team.
  • Sales and Portfolio Management – responsible for item control, portfolio management, and sales order management/support.
  • Strategy and Transformation – focusing on developing strategy and executing strategy related projects and changes.

Your Position

As an Operational Supplier Coordinator, you will report to the Group Leader Material Planning & Operational Supplier Management. Your team is responsible for:

  • Reviewing specific customer demand and system-generated forecasts, converting them into Purchase Order (PO) proposals, and managing inventory levels.
  • Creating, validating, and monitoring POs through to settlement, and supporting the Warehouse Inbound team in case of issues.
  • Managing the short-term Materials Availability Performance of our suppliers, ensuring they deliver and execute in accordance with existing agreements.

Overall, the team ensures that we have the right items in stock and on time, enabling timely delivery to customers—ultimately having a significant impact on customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

As an Operational Supplier Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the Logistics team. In this position, you will collaborate with your colleagues to manage the short-term Materials Availability Performance of our suppliers, ensuring they deliver and execute in accordance with existing agreements.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with Supply Chain Coordinators, Operational Buyers (located in VOICE India), Warehouse Inbound team, Portfolio Management team, and Sourcing.
  • Help set up standard processes for the role and drive process improvements afterwards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier-related questions.
  • Participate in or lead supplier performance management calls.
  • Manage master data for your supplier categories, ensuring smooth supply chain operations, and take a central role in managing supplier relationships.
  • Monitor and manage supplier exceptions (date changes, quality issues, logistical issues, etc.).
  • Coach and train suppliers to improve their maturity level and ensure the correct use of Vanderlande's systems, processes, and tools.
  • Monitor and manage Supplier Delivery Performance (RLIP/CLIP1/CLIP2).

Your Profile

  • HBO or Bachelor's degree, preferably in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain management, or sourcing.
  • Experience in material planning and with ERP systems, preferably JDE/Oracle.
  • Experience with Lean, Visual Performance Management, and Problem Solving tools.
  • Pro-active and result-oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a systematic and efficient manner.
  • Good command of English, both verbal and written.
