Job Summary

As a Payroll Senior Specialist at Equinix, you will ensure payroll is processed with speed and accuracy. You will serve as a liaison to employees and third-party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company-specific pay policies. Your responsibilities include auditing employee pay records, reconciling totals by department, location, and country, and coordinating third-party payroll system implementations and upgrades. You will interpret pay policies (e.g., personal time off, LOA, disability, workers compensation, union contracts, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.) and ensure appropriate amounts and deductions are calculated and applied correctly. You will verify compliance with federal and state payroll requirements and stay current with changes in the law. You may assist with audits of internal records, workers compensation, tax filings, and related documentation, as well as document payroll processes and procedures and train payroll department staff. You may also back up those who perform specialized tasks or activities such as stock option exercises, SEC document filing, or sales commission calculation reviews.

Responsibilities

Payroll Processing in-house for NL end-to-end (must have)

  • Full ownership of in-house payroll processing for the Netherlands (NL) end-to-end
  • Review data feeds from HRSS
  • Ensure all employees are set up in the payroll system
  • Process employee net pay, taxes, and other benefits

Collaboration

  • Collaborate with various teams to identify any payroll issues
  • Answer complex payroll questions from cross-functional departments

System Management

  • Review results and make corrections to the system, acting as a resource to more junior members
  • Knowledge of ADP Perman

Employee Support

  • Answer complex employee payroll inquiries, escalating as needed and acting as a resource to more junior members

Payroll Software Vendor Management

  • Manage payroll software vendor(s) support, including negotiating contracts, staying abreast of system enhancements, and submitting enhancement requests

Qualifications

  • Proven years of experience preferred
  • CPP/PDL certification preferred
