About the role:

At the core of this function is representing the voice of the consumer in the product development process, ensuring that our solutions are user-friendly, accessible, and aligned with the needs of our target audience. Based on a strong understanding of consumer insights, you translate consumer needs into actionable requirements and guide development teams in creating innovations that make a meaningful difference in consumers’ lives.

The impact you’ll make:

  • Represent the user and safeguard the user experience as a crucial team member in product development, ensuring voice-of-consumer representation in value proposition definition, solution requirements definition, and validation of solutions through early-stage experiment design.
  • Support scoping of project definition and objectives, particularly concerning insights, benefits, claims, and reason-to-believe statements.
  • Conduct state-of-the-art user research using appropriate desk, qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methodologies to identify unmet needs and generate actionable insights.
  • Translate consumer feedback and data-based insights into solution requirements, product improvements, and recommendations for roadmap definition.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Design, and Foresights to integrate market data, competitive benchmarking, and consumer insights into product development strategies.
  • Validate whether end-products meet consumer needs and deliver on intended benefits, ensuring solutions are tested and safeguarded from a user perspective end-to-end.
  • Proactively contribute to category strategy by identifying opportunities, risks, and consumer-driven innovation spaces.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement by sharing learnings and best practices across teams.

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

  • An academic degree in Human-Technology Interaction, User Experience Design/Research, Industrial Design Engineering, or another relevant discipline, combined with experience in consumer or marketing research.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in usability, user experience, or consumer research, preferably in a global, multi-disciplinary environment. Proven experience in developing and evaluating new (hardware) propositions as well as digital and connected solutions.
  • Applied knowledge of a broad range of user experience, usability, and consumer research methods and tools, with the ability to select and apply the right approach depending on the context.
  • A strong technical understanding combined with a consumer-first mindset, enabling you to connect technology opportunities with meaningful consumer benefits.

You are:

  • Passionate about serving consumers, continuously aiming to exceed their expectations and deliver superior experiences versus competition.
  • Motivated by creating innovations and services that truly address consumer needs and bring delight to everyday life.
  • Conceptual, data-driven, and analytically strong, while pragmatic and hands-on in execution.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating others and driving effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • A courageous and forward-thinking professional, eager to challenge the status quo and contribute to continuous improvement and organizational effectiveness.
  • Open to travel as required.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
