The Digital Engineering arm of Project Delivery & Engineering stands at the forefront of working towards a fossil-free future. Within our Digital Engineering division, we specialise in delivering and integrating digital solutions aimed at facilitating renewable energy production and ensuring dependable operations. As the primary provider of digital solutions within the Business Unit Offshore Wind, we oversee the whole value chain, from bid acquisition to asset construction and operation. Our focus lies on Operational Technology (OT) and IT, harnessing control and analytic modelling synergies to optimise engineering design through comprehensive data integration.

Cybersecurity remains paramount across our portfolio within BU Offshore Wind and other BA Wind business units, as we uphold the highest standards in this regard.

Presently, we seek a seasoned professional to assume the role of Head of Security and Compliance section within the esteemed Digital Engineering Leadership team.

Your role / what will you do?

As the leader overseeing the security and compliance team WO-PDC, you'll manage a dedicated team with a consolidated responsibility to perform cybersecurity risk assessments, identify security risks, implement security controls, and ensure embedded cybersecurity and compliance through regular audits. Your role extends to training employees on cybersecurity best practices and developing disaster recovery plans, establishing a robust first line of defence. In this capacity, you'll consolidate specialists and Technical Authorities and create clear ownership of Employer Requirements. Your leadership will provide a value-driven business focus, leveraging feasible and innovative technology to balance risks and opportunities, enabling the strategy of BA Wind.

Your key objectives include increasing the focus on security and compliance, fostering innovation, and building stakeholder confidence. You will be responsible for safeguarding digital products and ensuring their integrity, reliability, and compliance. As a strategic leader, you will drive the development and implementation of a compliant technical framework, promoting clear governance and a culture of security and compliance within BA Wind.

Utilizing your extensive experience in cybersecurity and digital infrastructure, you'll lead initiatives to enhance the security and resilience of our digital solutions. Your initial focus will be on cultivating robust internal collaboration and championing cross-functional teams for a cohesive approach. Your strategic acumen and leadership competencies will be crucial in aligning managers and individual team members to foster a shared vision and collaborative culture.

You will also strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders within Vattenfall IT and our Business Area, enhancing operational efficiency and product delivery through agile methodologies. As a strategic and people-oriented leader, your expertise in cybersecurity and sustainable value creation will drive your commitment to digital transformation and resilience.

Your profile / who are you?

As our Head of Security & Compliance, you will bring:

  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence the agenda, even without formal authority
  • An engineering university degree (M.Sc. or PhD) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including leadership experience
  • Compliance and regulatory knowledge
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written
  • A positive mindset and a “glass half full” approach to your work
  • High motivation, strong communication skills, and the ability to be a role model for technical specialists
  • Leadership skills that thrive in turbulent times
  • Business understanding and a commercial mindset
  • Experience with renewable energy technologies and surveillance
  • Ability to work in large and detailed organisations
