About the job

This role is designed to lead the development and deployment of global recycled plastic sourcing strategies (rPET, rPE, rPP, rPS, Bio. 250mE spend) across all regions.

The primary objective is to support each region in building its recycled plastic roadmap and to secure business needs through cost-effective and reliable supply sources. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to drive the agenda in a challenging environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop the R-resin sourcing strategy aligned with each region’s R-resin roadmap.
  • Establish and maintain long-term, reliable partnerships with recyclers to enhance quality and cost efficiency.
  • Leverage global expertise to optimize R-resin costs through imports, cost benchmarking, should-cost analysis, and make-or-buy evaluations.
  • Identify new suppliers and emerging technologies—including chemical recycling and bio/carbon absorption—and collaborate with the Advanced Technology team to define future recycling solutions.
  • Lead the development of market intelligence to anticipate changes, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks impacting Danone.
  • Category Management: budget, BCP, SRM, cross region and cross function collaboration.
  • Execution Focus: request a goal-oriented mindset to ensure project delivery while facing the internal / external challenges.
  • People Leadership: Manage a team of 3 direct reports, fostering skill development and team capability growth.

About you

We are looking for a strong professional with 10+ years of experience in procurement. You are passionate about sustainability, experienced in working within a complex environment and able to navigate complex organizational landscapes.
