Senior Plastic Injection Specialist

About the role:

Are you an expert in injection molding with a passion for optimizing production processes? At Versuni, we are looking for an Injection Molding Engineer to join our Industrial Engineering Team and lead projects that drive growth and efficiency.

As an Injection Molding Engineer, you will work closely with Product Development and Toolmakers to develop high-quality plastic injection molding parts. Your expertise in Design for Manufacturing techniques will be critical in improving production efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality. With a deep understanding of plastic materials, machine mechanics, and CAD software, you will troubleshoot production challenges, optimize processes, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

The impact you’ll make:

• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) for new tool development and the maintenance of existing molds.
• Conduct experiments to optimize molding processes and improve production efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, such as material defects and machine malfunctions.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Innovation, Development, and Production teams to enhance efficiency and product quality.
• Develop refurbishment strategies and investment plans.
• Define and monitor programs, projects, goals, and metrics to guide supplier organizations.

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Manufacturing Engineering, Technology Engineering, or a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of manufacturing engineering and injection molding.
• Proficiency in CAD software and the ability to evaluate tool design.
• Experience in conducting and presenting data analysis for Manufacturing, R&D, Purchasing, and Finance.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for process optimization.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Fluent English communication (spoken and written).
• Strong managerial skills with the ability to balance multiple stakeholder needs.
• Expertise in identifying risks and driving performance improvement.
• Deep knowledge of environmental, safety, and quality regulations.
• Understanding of cross-functional relationships for efficient execution.
