Lead the Test & Verification Team for Grooming & Beauty at Philips

Job Description

In this role you ensure the quality of our product portfolio by installing rigorous Test and Verification methods. You apply effective systems engineering thinking and have a solid understanding of applicable regulations like 21CFR820, ISO 13485 and ISO 17025. You work together with a cross functional team to enable the timely delivery of our new product introductions (NPI’s).

You are responsible for

  • Leading a team (approx. 35 people) of T&V architects and Engineers
    • Supervise and develop the team competencies
    • Supervise the health and safety in the laboratory area.
  • The Test&Verification lab setup, including the support and building of a global T&V network in collaboration with other Grooming & Beauty sites.
  • Our test framework and ensuring that it is applied properly.
  • Active participation in the management team of Development Grooming & Beauty.
  • Participation in the leadership team of Grooming & Beauty.
  • Contribute to and maintain compliance with the company’s ISO 13485 QMS.

You are a part of
The Research and Development team of the Personal Care business.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • At least a master degree in a relevant technical area (for instance: Mechatronical Engineering, Bio-medical engineering, physics).
  • At least 10 years of experience in development and industrialization of medical products with the emphasis on Test&Verification.
  • Good leadership and project management skills; demonstrated experience in people mentoring and development.
  • Deep and current understanding of FDA and ISO 13485 requirements, with the ability to interpret these requirements and implement them into new product development.
  • Flexible in interacting with various kinds of stakeholders, from senior management, marketing to focused engineers.
  • Proven analytical, conceptual and creative thinking skills.
  • A problem solving and pragmatic attitude with consumer first focus.
