Lead Our User Experience Research Team

About the role:

We're looking for a strategic and hands-on leader to head our User Experience Research team. In this pivotal role, you'll champion the voice of the consumer and guide the development of meaningful, intuitive, and accessible product experiences. You'll lead a passionate team of UX researchers, translate insights into action, and help define the future of how people interact with our products.

The impact you’ll make:

  • Lead and inspire a team of user experience researchers (based in the Netherlands & China), ensuring deep integration of consumer insights into every step of product development.
  • Embed the voice of the consumer in all stages of product (pre-)development — from early value proposition shaping to final usability validation.
  • Apply state-of-the-art UX methodologies to uncover deep insights and translate them into clear, actionable product requirements.
  • Turn insights into impact, driving user-centered improvements in product design, feature prioritization, and innovation roadmaps.
  • Shape and support usability risk assessments, early-stage testing, and freedom-to-operate analyses.
  • Integrate a broad set of data — from consumer testing to competitive benchmarks and post-launch feedback — into concrete recommendations for teams.
  • Support post-launch experiences by ensuring consumer care teams are equipped with training, FAQs, and insights to elevate customer satisfaction.

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

  • Academic background in Social Sciences, Engineering, or Applied Sciences. A BSc is required; MSc degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in user/consumer research, including 5+ years leading teams in a cross-functional setting.
  • Strong foundation in both qualitative and quantitative research methods; comfortable with statistical tools and data analysis.
  • Experience in UX/UI design or connected products (IoT) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with home care products, including knowledge of consumables, chemicals, and fabrics used in appliances.
  • A strategic thinker with an innovation mindset and deep understanding of product development processes.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
